STORY

Story, Seasons, Chapters, Locations, Notes, and Quests – what are those?

The Story is the plot of the game. The Story consists of Seasons. During each Season, the main character uncovers the next portion of secrets of her family and hometown. Seasons are divided into Chapters. Throughout a Chapter, the main character takes Notes in her Smartphone to remember the main events of the Story. The events of a Chapter unfold in a Location, a place where the main character currently is according to the Story. A Chapter is mostly linear, but at pivot moments, the player’s choice determines the further course of events. Chapters contain quests to complete in a Location. Complete Chapters to advance through the Story.

What is a Smartphone?

The Smartphone is a window that stores Notes about the events of the Story and information about the characters that you meet as you progress through the Story. You can open the Smartphone by pressing the smartphone button in the lower left corner of the Location window. The main character makes three Notes in each Chapter. You can view the Notes on the Notes tab of your Smartphone while you are in a Location. You get in-game currency or Boosters for each Note. The second button at the top left corner of the Smartphone window opens the Seasons tab, convenient for navigating between Story’s Chapters. The Contacts tab contains a contact page with a list of known characters. Pressing on a character’s portrait opens their profile. A profile contains facts about the character that the main character learns throughout the Story. You can be rewarded with in-game currency or Boosters for discovering some of the facts.

SOLITAIRE

What is Solitaire?

Solitaire is a card game where you need to clear the Field of cards or collect cards according to Level Objectives. To complete a level, you need to remove cards from the Field and put them on the Discard Pile in the sequence from 2 to A or vice versa. Solitaire opens in a separate window.

What is a Field?

A Field is a space with cards that you need to collect to fulfill Solitaire Level Objectives.

What is a Level Objective?

A Level Objective is a task that you need to complete while you collect and match the cards to clear the level. The panel with the Level Objective counters is located at the top of the Solitaire screen. You complete the level by meeting all the Level Objectives, even if there are cards still left on the Field.

What is a Deck?

A Deck is the cards at the bottom of the Field. These cards can be placed face-up on the Discard Pile if top card of the Discard Pile does not meet the matching conditions for any of the cards on the Field.

What is a Discard Pile?

A Discard Pile is a card next to the Deck at the bottom of the Field. You can only place a card from the Field on top of the Discard Pile card if they meet matching conditions. Collecting cards to the Discard Pile brings you closer to completing the Level Objectives.

What is a Hint?

A Hint is an auxiliary tool available on the Field to help you complete Level Objectives. A Wild Card is a Hint that places a special card to the Discard Pile, which you can cover with any card from the Field. A Hand Fan is a Hint that removes all face-up cards from the Field. A +5 is a Hint that adds 5 cards to the Deck. A Turn Cancel is a Hint that reverses your previous turn.

What is a Booster?

A Booster is a tool that you can select in the level start window to help you complete a level. The Double Wild Card Booster adds two Wild Cards to the Deck. The Scissors Booster removes three random face-up cards from the Field at the start of a level. The Hand Fan Booster adds a Hand Fan card to the Deck.

To get a combo, you need to:

  • find 2 items quickly in succession,
  • see the combo indicator next to the star progress,
  • continue to find objects quickly without missing a beat until the combo indicator disappears.
The more items found in a row, the higher the combo level and, accordingly, the higher the combo points. The combo level decreases over time if you don’t find items quickly. The combo level is reset to zero if you miss.
What is a Streak?

You make a Streak by collecting five cards from the Field consecutively, as long as they the process wasn’t interrupted by drawing the cards from the Deck. Making a Streak gives you various bonuses: additional cards in the Deck or Boosters. A Streak of cards of the same suit or color gives you bigger bonuses.

What is a Postcard?

A Postcard is a card on the Field that you can take only when you pick up all the cards that directly cover it. A Postcard doesn’t go to the Discard Pile, but fills the Level Objective counter.

What is Sand?

Sand modifies a card on the Field, preventing it from being picked up immediately. To pick up a card affected by Sand, you need to first remove the Sand by using a card as many ranks higher or lower as there are Sand levels (one or two) on the card.

What are a Lock and a Key?

A Lock and a Key are interdependent: one is a card modifier, and the other is a card modifier deactivator. A Lock prevents you from picking up the card protected by it. To remove a Lock from a card, you first need to pick up all the cards that directly overlap it and the Key, and then press on the Key.

What is the Joker?

The Joker is an auxiliary mechanic that can be used to collect cards by color. The Joker comes in two equivalent variants: red and blue. To use the Joker, you need to pick it up from Field and place it on a card of the appropriate color on the Discard Pile. You also need to place a card of the corresponding color on top of the Joker.

What is a Double Card?

A double card is a card with two ranks of the same suit. You can place it on the Discard Pile if the rank of the card on it matches one of the ranks of the Double Card.

What is a Horizontal Conveyor?

A Horizontal Conveyor is a modifier that changes the appearance of the Field by extending it off the screen and leftward. You need to collect the available cards first to clear the Field with the Horizontal Conveyor. After the part of the Field on the left is free of cards, the Field will automatically move to the left.

What is a Card+?

A Card+ is a bonus card that adds N cards to the Deck. To activate this card’s effect, you need to pick up all the cards that directly overlap it.

What is a Variable Card?

A Variable Card is a card with a modifier that increases or decreases the rank of the card with each turn.

What is a Mirror?

A Mirror is a card with a modifier that each turn changes the card’s rank to match the card on the Discard Pile. To break a Mirror, you need to apply a card from the Discard Pile to it. After a Mirror is broken, the card that was under it acquires the last rank displayed in the Mirror.

What is a Vertical Conveyor?

A Vertical Conveyor is a modifier that changes the appearance of the Field by extending it off the screen and upward. You need to collect the available cards first to clear the Field with the Vertical Conveyor. After the Field is free of all cards, it will automatically move up.
